TransAction Week is one of the LGBT Resource Center’s annual weeks and is designed to raise awareness on issues impacting transgender people and to celebrate the transgender community. Join us at the MU to explore your artistic side and learn about transgender issues and activism. Draw your gender! Explore transgender identities and issues with fun activities!

HIV Testing - Free & Anonymous-Bi-monthly for Students
Come into the LGBT Resource center for free anonymous HIV antibody testing on scheduled days, organized by the UC Davis Health Education Program. The test is “rapid”, which means that results only take 20 minutes, and is an oral swab (no blood needed!). The LGBT Resource Center is located on campus at the University House Annex across from Voorhies Hall. Walk-ins are welcome during testing hours. Please come in early to sign-up for a time slot.

Trans Resource Panel: Social, Legal, & Health Issues
Come learn about resources available to trans and gender variant people at UC Davis and in the surrounding community and get questions answered. This panel will feature representatives from Lambda Law, Gender Health Center, and Student Health and Wellness Center. The first half of the panel will be discussing Health issues and the second half will be discussing social and legal issues.

RISE UP! A TransAction Week Discussion
Rise Up is a weekly discussion series that is open to everybody and anybody who is interested in talking things out. This is a great way to come and check out the LGBT Resource Center as well as join in on casual discussions that are related to the Queer community.

Keynote: D'Lo
D’Lo is a queer Tamil Sri L.A.nkan-American, political theatre artist/writer, director, comedian and music producer.
D'Lo performed and written workshops with Teada Productions Theater Company. D'Lo attended UCLA with a BA in Ethnomusicology and a graduate of New York's School of Audio Engineering (SAE).
D'Lo has acted in Cherrie Moraga's "Digging Up the Dirt." D'Lo has written plays, one called "Boys that Pray."

Transforming Body Image
This workshop is an exploration of gender identity and body image. Traditionally, body image has been discussed in a way that is gender dichotomous and not inclusive of varying expressions of identity. This workshop will explore messages about appearance and gender and how they impact body image and self esteem. Presenters from Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS) will help participants feel empowered to explore body image in a healthy way that allows for integration of intersecting identities. This workshop assumes a pre-existing level of familiarity with basic issues around gender identity.

Intersections of Gender and Queer Identity Panel
Meet a student panel that will discuss issues and experiences regarding gender presentation, gender identity, and gender performance. This community panel with Q&A will explore the intersections of identities such as gender identity and queer identity.

Trans BDSM Workshop
Come learn about BDSM (bondage, discipline, dominance/submission, and sadomasochism) through a non-binary perspective. Explore different kinky roles while fucking with the gender binary.

Crafternoons is a weekly social and crafting event and are a great way to meet people and de-stress at the end of the week! Create your gender through art with googly eyes, glitters and felt. The supplies is freely provided.
